Interesting Artist Fact:

Mati means “God’s Gift” or the “gift of Yahweh” (Hebrew translation: “mattath/מַתָּת” = gift + “yah/יָה”).

Shenica Renee Graham was born in Long Beach, California and grew up in Los Angeles and Wichita, Kansas. After earning two college degrees, she moved to West Des Moines, IA, where she presently works and resides.

Shenica has over 20 years’ experience in online writing and publishing including songwriting. She has been singing publicly since she was a child. Her song, “Phoenix” tells her story of making a choice to rise from some tough circumstances. With a bold heart of compassion and ready listening ear, she has been called the “Black Moses of Her Generation.”

Shenica is consistently a top 3 Singer / Songwriter in her region on Her first LIVE performance of an original song was “They Have A Savior“, which she wrote as teenager. Her song “Warrior” is a testimony of being called to serve God’s children. She adopted the name Mati (a derivative of Ultimati) in 2013 when she released a debut EP under the latter name, featuring hits “Need of Prayer” and “Still Small Voice.” Her new CD release is scheduled for pre-sale this month!
